HSM helped When Other Couldn't

Dear Fellow Members:

I wish to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to both Martha Edstrom and the team at Health Systems Management; Joanne and Laird miller.

My wife had been diagnosed and treated for high blood pressure. This was not causing the problems she was having and caused us many anxious trips to the Emergency Room. Along with the tense times these trips put on us they were also quite costly experiences. These trips to the Emergency room went on for a very long time.

We were at our wits end with all the trips to the Emergency Rooms. We had lost all faith in both her Doctor and Clinic. This is when we called Health Systems Management and explained our situation to Joanne Miller.

Joanne immediately made our life better! She got us appointments at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. After many tests and visits with the wonderful doctors at the Mayo Clinic, they determined that my wife's high blood pressure was being caused by a restricted artery going into one of her kidneys. They performed a Renal angioplasty procedure that corrected her out of control blood pressure problem. At this point she is getting her prescriptions modified to her current state of health.

This was all due to the outstanding service provided to us by Martha Edstrom through the Local 49 and the caring people at Health Systems Management. We feel they should be recognized for the wonderful services they provided us. My wife Doris and I will be forever grateful.
