New Health Plan Physical Exam Now Offered.

The Operating Engineers Local 49 and Health Dynamics cordially invite you and your spouse to participate in the Health Dynamics exam. This exam is paid for at 100% on an annual basis through your Health Fund, plus there are no co-pays or deductibles when you come in for your exam. In addition, if you choose to participate in the exam, you will be entitled to $20.00 reimbursement per moth ($40.00 if you and your spouse both participate) to a health club. Simply submit your billing statement from the health club to Wilson McShane and you will be reimbursed up to $20.00 per month for each person )you and your spouse) that participates in the exam.

The Health Dynamics Preventive Care Program is a premier package of health screening tools designed to thoroughly assess individual health status and health risks. Current health status, personal and family history, and assessment of lifestyle choices all predict future health risks, particularly for heart disease and cancer. The confidential individual report booklet contains health risk scores, explanations, recommendations for improvement and educational material based on the specific needs of the individual. The Program strives to achieve one basic objective ... we work to improve the health status of each and every patient in our care. The following Program Components are included in the exam:

• Health history questionnaire
  
• Complete blood chemistry analysis, including glucose and cholesterol
  
• Urinalysis
  
• Body composition measurements
  
• Resting blood pressure
  
• Height and weight measurements
  
• Pulmonary function test
  
• Strength evaluation
  
• Flexibility testing
  
• 12 lead EKG
  
• Cardiovascular fitness test -- bike or treadmill
  
• Physician directed examination, including Pap smear for women upon request
  
• Colorectal cancer screening (multi-slide available)
  
• Breast screening mammography, according to American Cancer Society guidelines (women)
  
• Chest x-ray, according to OSHA guidelines (men)
  
• PSA test for prostate cancer, according to American Cancer Society guidelines (men)
